Our friends Matt and Christina had set us up on a blind date over 4 years ago. We talked briefly on the phone before our first date, and have not been apart ever since that night.
Wes proposed to me on March 21, 2005, in Astoria, Oregon. We were on the beach where the Columbia River meets the ocean, it was very romantic and the view was indescribable. We had been on a week long vacation that took us from our home in Palmdale to Chico, California where we visited Wes's sister Stephanie. We then drove to Medford, Oregon, to Mount St. Helens in Washington, to Astoria, Oregon, and then home.

The ceremony will be held at Mt. Olive Lutheran church in Santa Monica, California. This is the same church that Wes's parents, Tim and Shirley, were married in almost 30 years ago. Pastor Gary Marshall will perform the ceremony.

The Reception will be held at The Victorian in Santa Monica. You can view their website at

Laura arranged our honeymoon plans at the Vacation Hotline. We have booked an all inclusive 7-day honeymoon at the Sandals Resort in Negril, Jamaica. We will be leaving the evening of our wedding and returning on Sunday, January 22, 2006.
